Robert “Maximus” MacDonald is one of Canada’s premier mixed martial artists and the current Ring of Fire LHW Champion.
He has competed and been victorious in numerous fight competitions across North America. Rob also starred on Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter Season Two on Matt Hughes’ Heavy Weight team. Rob was subsequently signed to a multi-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Maximus is highly skilled in Wrestling, Kickboxing and Submission Grappling and brings an exciting style to the cage that thrills audiences. He has trained under some of the best athletic programs and fight teams in North America including Team Tompkins, Shah Franco Martial Arts, and Gym Jones. He credits much of his success to those who have helped him along the way of his incredible journey.
In addition to his fighting career Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Western Ontario with a double major in Psychology and English. He has also earned a Bachelor of Education graduate degree from Lakehead University.
This former teacher and police officer is currently the GM of Gym Jones, which is an elite strength training facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
