On February 20th I will be fighting Chuck Grigsby for the VFC World Light Heavyweight title. He is a highly skilled opponent with a great record and this will be a good test. I have been training hard for this and look forward to putting on a great show. Maximus…
I have been in Salt Lake City, Utah now for 2 months and I have fully recovered from a fully torn bicep tendon which happened right before my last fight with Hector Ramirez. There are no exact dates set for my next fight but by the end of the year I plan to defend my ROF title and compete in one or two more fights.
I have been busy training and have recently had the opportunity to work with Will Bernales at The Bernales Institute of Martial Arts and with the guys over at Unified. I have found a talented group of training partners and friends during my stay here and I am learning all that I can.
Under the watchful eye of my good friends and mentors here at Gym Jones my conditioning and mental outlook on competition have never been better. Each day with the help of Mark, Lisa, Johnny, John, Mike, James, Tony, Paul, Josh and the rest of the crew I am bettering myself everyday.
To my family at Shahs, I miss you dearly and will be coming home soon to visit and train. We will do something great together in the coming years. As indivudals but more importantly as a team.

Rob “Maximus” MacDonald has signed a multi-fight deal with Hardcore Championship Fighting. Watch for Maximus’ HCF debut on March 29th/2008 in Gatineau Quebec against the highly regarded Hector “Sick Dog” Ramirez.
As of January 25th, 2008 I will no longer be working as an officer with the Toronto Police Service. I have been given the privilege of moving to Utah and becoming a full time member of Gym Jones. Gym Jones is a private, invitation-only facility located in Utah. For more information on Gym Jones you may find it on their website(In order to access it just click the graphic above) This is the most proud and humbling moment of my life and I am honoured to be afforded such a tremendous opportunity . This opportunity will give me the chance to work in a field that I am truly passionate about. In addition it will also allow me to properly focus on my fight career. I would like to thank everyone at the Toronto Police for all the support and I would like to thank all of my family, friends, sponsors and training partners who have helped me reach this point.
