Daily Workout: August 23rd, 2018
The best part of teaching seminars is the unique people you meet and the lifelong friends you make. I met Akshay Nanavati in 2012. He’s a former Marine corps veteran who overcame PTSD, severe depression and alcoholism that pushed him to the brink of suicide. Through some very difficult self work and introspection he turned his life around and went on to write a best selling book called “Fearvana” which has been endorsed by the Dalai Lama. “Fearvana” helps people develop a positive relationship with fear, stress and anxiety, and leverage them to create a life of limitless health, wealth and happiness. It’s available on Amazon if you’re interested. It’s a great read and frankly he’s a person whose earned my respect through and through. Yesterday we visited and he informed that in the very near future he’s running 210 miles across Liberia to help build the 1st sustainable school in postwar Liberia. He’s also got future plans to run across every country in the world to support worthy causes all over the globe like bringing water to those that need it. I couldn’t be more proud of Akshay. I’ve had the opportunity to watch him rebuild his life from the ground up and to blossom into an incredibly driven and strong person whose dedicated himself to helping others. I’m incredibly proud to call him a friend. Watch for big things from him in the future.
A bunch of work on the ATP (Athletic Training Platform)
A bunch of Inverse Curl
Today I didn’t go to heavy or do a crushing amount of work. It is two days until I compete at the World’s so I focussed on form and perfect movement patterns. I did enough to improve but not so much that I will be worn down for competition. I want to go in peak condition.
45-60 minutes for each session

Note about the training: Day to day entries will change. Some entires will be workouts I have done that day, some entries will be workouts that people I train did that day. Some entries will be my favorite all time workouts or something I saw on the internet that I thought would be good for you to experience. Remember that because of the changing nature of the entries these workouts are not meant to be prescriptive. For example they aren’t necessarily written down with the intention of you following them precisely. Rather, they are meant to collectively build a resource that you can learn from. Hopefully you can implement some of these ideas and workouts into your own training in order to better your fitness.
Also note that I won’t be posting at the same time every day. If I workout early then it might get posted early. If I workout late then it might get posted late. If I am in different time zone then hell, I don’t know what time it will show up. Just a head’s up. That said, I will do my best to get them to you in a timely fashion. You have my word on that but remember I don’t have an army of internet monkeys at my beck and call. I am doing this on my own…
