You’ll notice by the workouts they are still a pretty simple format. It’s been repetitive but mentally that’s what I need right now. I am through with my illness but the residual damage it did is still lingering. I haven’t gotten my strength back, I am extremely fatigued, and frankly it’s difficult to maintain focus when I am up in the night 8-9 times. This is what I can handle now mentally and it’s helping me progress so I will stick to it.

On a positive note I started BJJ up again this week. The first day back was a kick in the teeth. I felt I lost everything. Straight from “Pro” to “Joe”. That lasted one day and by day three I was back to normal. In some ways it’s a lot easier to get back into because it’s not numbers driven. It’s technique, it’s situation, and I am much better at it than I am at lifting. It really helped lift my spirits to be back. I forgot for a minute how much I love it.

Finally I’d like to highlight my man Will Pace. I can’t say enough about him lately and how much he has stepped up while I have been sick. He has been the leader of the gym lately and I can’t say I am surprised. It’s who he is through and through. That’s why he is one of my truest friends.

Note about the training: Day to day entries will change. Some entires will be workouts I have done that day, some entries will be workouts that people I train did that day. Some entries will be my favorite all time workouts or something I saw on the internet that I thought would be good for you to experience. Remember that because of the changing nature of the entries these workouts are not meant to be prescriptive. For example they aren’t necessarily written down with the intention of you following them precisely. Rather, they are meant to collectively build a resource that you can learn from. Hopefully you can implement some of these ideas and workouts into your own training in order to better your fitness.

Also note that I won’t be posting at the same time every day. If I workout early then it might get posted early. If I workout late then it might get posted late. If I am in  different time zone then hell, I don’t know what time it will show up. Just a head’s up. That said, I will do my best to get them to you in a timely fashion. You have my word on that but remember I don’t have an army of internet monkeys at my beck and call. I am doing this on my own…
