Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and sometimes the world rises up and smacks your ass to the ground just to show you how fragile you really are. This is the sickest I’ve ever been. These pics were taken a month apart. You can see how much I’ve atrophied. Over the course of this past month I’ve lost close to 30lbs. I haven’t trained and have been forced to rest literally all day, every day. This is actually the first time in my life I haven’t been able to train through illness or injury. It was incredibly frustrating. At any rate today I got the green light to go off antibiotics and get my ass back to work. I could be discouraged about the loss and having to start at square one but quite the opposite. I relish the opportunity to build myself back up. One thing about me is I’ve always been at my best with my back against a wall, I’ve always been my best after a loss, and I’ve always been at my best when the odds aren’t in my favor. I love the underdog role. I’ll not only get back to my normal self but I’ll get back to an even better and more imported version of myself. It will happen sooner than you think. I can outwork and out-hustle any obstacle. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this. It’s been appreciated and helped keep me strong. If you want to see what I do to gain everything back I’ll be posting daily workouts chronicling my journey at bobbymaximus.com

Note about the training: Day to day entries will change. Some entires will be workouts I have done that day, some entries will be workouts that people I train did that day. Some entries will be my favorite all time workouts or something I saw on the internet that I thought would be good for you to experience. Remember that because of the changing nature of the entries these workouts are not meant to be prescriptive. For example they aren’t necessarily written down with the intention of you following them precisely. Rather, they are meant to collectively build a resource that you can learn from. Hopefully you can implement some of these ideas and workouts into your own training in order to better your fitness.

Also note that I won’t be posting at the same time every day. If I workout early then it might get posted early. If I workout late then it might get posted late. If I am in  different time zone then hell, I don’t know what time it will show up. Just a head’s up. That said, I will do my best to get them to you in a timely fashion. You have my word on that but remember I don’t have an army of internet monkeys at my beck and call. I am doing this on my own…
