An excerpt from “The Book of Bobby Maximus” (Verse 1, Chapter 10):

We live in a day and age where there’s more people than ever who think it’s perfectly acceptable to go online and put other people down, attack other’s beliefs, and make fun of others. I’ve seen people do this directly and I’ve seen people do it in a cowardly way by engaging in passive aggressive attacks. I’ve been the victim of this type of behavior and I’ll guarantee I’m not alone. You’ve probably been the victim of this type of thing as well. When this type of thing happens to you the first reaction is often one of anger and wanting to strike back. Don’t. Put the phone down and walk away. Take the high road. Memorize it’s address. It may not be the easiest path to take but it’s the best option. Never lower yourself to another person’s level. Remember that if you roll around with the pigs you’ll get dirty yourself. The best course of action is to hold your head high and turn the other cheek. It’s important to remember that the type of person who goes out of their way to attack another person online, or make a negative comment, or engage in online bullying is a broken person. Their behavior is more a reflection of themselves than it is of you. Feel sorry for them, feel pity for them, but don’t lash out hoping to get even or teach them a lesson they’ll never learn. This may not be easy, and it may not be satisfying, but taking the high road is the one path that you’ll never regret stepping foot on…
