An excerpt from “The Book Of Bobby Maximus” (Verse 3, Chapter 13): Be the person you want to be around. I always say that you become like the people you hang around or that you’re influenced by the people you surround yourself with. The inverse is also true. You influence the people who spend their time with you. Hold yourself to a high standard so you can drag others up instead of dragging them down. Strive to make not only yourself better but everyone around you better. Be that person that others admire, look up to, and want to become like. The better person you are, the better those around you will be, and that in turn will come back around and help you become better yet again. Build a cycle of positive reinforcement and leave people, places, and things better than when you found them.
