Sunday Sermon: December 8th, 2019
An Excerpt from The Book Of Bobby Maximus (Verse 5, Chapter 15)
There will be people who don’t agree with you, people who put you down, people who make disrespectful comments, and people who will never listen to a word you have to say.
You don’t have to engage them.
It’s not your job to change their mind or “fix” them. If you’re confident in what you believe and your course of action ignore them.
You don’t need the aggravation and you don’t need the stress. There are times you’ll need to fight but choose your battles wisely.
Spend your energy where it matters most. On the people who matter most. You can’t argue principle with a person who has none and you also can’t expect a table to be anything but a table.
One thing that helps me is to remember that you don’t have to show up to every argument you’re invited to.
