Sunday Sermon: June 10th, 2018
An excerpt from The Book Of Bobby Maximus (Verse 6, Chapter 20):
Tell the truth, or someone will tell it for you.
All lies will eventually see the light of day and time will always discover the truth. Skeletons eventually find their way out of the closet and your chickens will always come home to roost.
A big part of having integrity is being straightforward and telling the truth. Once you are caught in a lie your character will always be in question. A single lie discovered is enough to create a doubt in every truth.
So be honest and speak the truth even when it hurts. The truth may hurt for a little but a lie hurts forever. We have all been lied to and it hurts. The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you’re not worth the truth.
Treat others the way you’d want to be treated in this regard. Protect your integrity and character by saying what you mean and meaning what you say. Live, speak, and breathe the truth.
The truth is powerful and it always prevails.
