An Excerpt From The Book Of Bobby Maximus (Verse 1, Chapter 14):

We live in a day and age where people search out the easiest and cheapest solution. This is usually done at the expense of quality.

There was a time in this world where people took pride in the things they owned. They bought quality and they took care of what they owned. If something was broken they fixed it. They took pride in the things we own.

Today it is far too easy to just replace things. Our vehicles are all leased and at the end of the lease we turn in the keys and walk away. We throw away or trade in our cell phone every year. We constantly look to upgrade to the latest and greatest thing which usually turns out to be far less than promised. When it comes to psychological and physical health this is not the path we should choose to follow.

You have one brain and one body. You can’t just replace them or trade them in. It’s a long life so take care of them, nurture them, support them. Treat them with the respect they deserve. If there’s an issue fix it.

Self work is the most difficult type of work to do but it is the most important. A healthy body supports a healthy mind and vice versa. It also works the other way. An unhealthy body can poison a healthy mind and the inverse holds true as well. Look after what you have, take care of it, understand you are in it for the long haul, and buy it once.
