Sunday Sermon: May 31st, 2020
An Excerpt From The Book Of Bobby Maximus (Verse 1, Chapter 16)
What will other people think? What will other people say?
These are the ten most dangerous words in the English language. We’ve all worried about how we’re perceived by others. It’s human nature. We also all realize that we shouldn’t care what others think and say about us, because it really does not matter. But it’s far easier said than done. At the end of the day the only person you need to please is yourself.
You are the only one who needs to be okay with how you live your life. You could be hated by everyone and if you are okay with your actions and behavior then you’ll be content. At the same time you could be loved and adored by everyone but if you’re not okay with how you’ve lived your life you’ll go to bed feeling sad and empty every night.
There’ll never be a shortage of people who throw hate your way because of how you live your life and there’ll never be a shortage of people who like you for the wrong reasons. So the key is to just do you. Do what makes you happy and do what you think is right. At the end of the day if you and you alone can look yourself in the mirror and be content with the choices you’ve made then that’s all that matters.
