Sunday Sermon: November 4th, 2018
An excerpt from “The Book Of Bobby Maximus” (Verse 6, Chapter 12)
There are a lot of people in your life who will be around when times are good. They will be there when they’ve got something to gain from you. They will be there when everything is almost perfect and they’ll always have their hand out looking for something from you. These are not your real friends.
Real friends are there for you in both good times and bad. Real friends are those who dig deep when you are down just to help pull you up. Real friends are the ones who make sacrifices on your behalf, who have your back through thick and thin, and who support you no matter what. They fight on your behalf, they won’t stand by while others put you down, and they are always by your side. They are the people who’ll never turn their backs on you. To them, loyalty means everything.
Eventually during the course of your life you will face a crisis, you will be dealt a bad hand, or you’ll find yourself between a rock and a hard place. This is when your real friends will show up. This is also when fake friends will show their true face. Time will always help you determine who your real friends are. When it does take notice. Treat them well. Keep them close.
