Sunday Sermon: October 21st, 2018
An excerpt from The Book Of Bobby Maximus Verses 1-2, Chapter 8:
Just because everyone is doing something that doesn’t make it right. And just because no one is doing something that doesn’t make it wrong. Wrong is wrong no matter how many people are doing it. Right is right even if no one is doing it. Regardless of how others behave there are universal truths when it comes to character.
Never sacrifice your character and lower yourself to the level of others. In your heart you know what is right so no matter how hard it may be behave accordingly. Be respectful and be kind, even if others are not. Sometimes the hardest thing in the world to do is to be nice but it’s the one course of action that you’ll never regret. Be supportive to those in need. There may come a time when you need the same.
Be honest. Being honest never hurt anyone but being a liar hurts everyone. Tell the truth no matter what the consequences. Set a good example for others because you never know who is looking up to you. Finally have integrity. Stick to your beliefs and live true even when no one is watching. At the end of the day your character is the most valuable thing you have. Never sacrifice it. When character is lost all else is lost with it.
Until next week,
