It costs nothing to be nice. There is far too much negativity these days. As human beings we have the capacity for great kindness yet we also have the capacity to be unkind, cruel, and the ability to treat each other very poorly. 

Take social media as a case in point. Social media can be an incredible tool. I have been inspired by those in our community who broadcast their efforts on a day to day basis. Seeing their hard work, passion for what they do, and the community they are building leaves me inspired and refreshed. I also see some people who are negative. 

They make disparaging comments online, they attack others for no good reason, they are hypocritical. When did being an asshole become okay? When did being an asshole become tolerated?

Leave the negativity behind. 

Open your mind before your mouth and taste your words before you spit them out. Treat people with kindness and be less judgmental. 

Be supportive. 

Remember that we rise up by lifting others. And above all else if you can’t be nice be quiet
